The 1937 silver UK threepence obverse features the bare head of King George VI facing left, with the surrounding legend: 'GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX'
The reverse shows Saint George's cross on a Tudor rose. The date is divided to either side of the main design, with the legend above reading 'FID:DEF:IND:IMP', and 'THREE-PENCE' below.
It was the first King George VI era UK threepence.
Minted in London, England with an appx. mintage of 8,148,156.
