1952 New Zealand Sixpence - Very Fine - Last King George VI era New Zealand sixpence
Tax included.
The 1955 New Zealand Sixpence was the last King George VI era New Zealand sixpence.
The 1952 New Zealand sixpence obverse features the bare head of King George VI facing left. The surrounding legend reads:
'KING GEORGE THE SIXTH'
The reverse design shows a huia bird (now extinct), perched on a branch. The words
'NEW ZEALAND' are above the main design, with 'SIXPENCE' and the date below.
This coin is considered readily available in low to mid grades with approx. 3,200,000 minted.
I would grade this coin as Very Fine.
