The 1957 New Zealand sixpence obverse features the laureate bust of young Queen Elizabeth II facing right. The surrounding legend reads:
'+QUEEN-ELIZABETH-THE-SECOND'
The reverse design shows a huia bird (now extinct), perched on a branch. The words
'NEW ZEALAND' are above the main design, with 'SIXPENCE' and the date below.
This coin is considered readily available in low to mid grades with approx. 2,400,000 minted.
