1988 Australian $5 Coin - Opening of the Parliament House - Uncircualted in Original Commonwealth Bank Bag
To celebrate the opening of the Parliament House on 9th May 1988, the Royal Australian Mint struck Australia's first $5 coin.
The reverse of this aluminium/bronze uncirculated coin features the outstanding architectural achievement of the new Parliament House, designed by Mitchell/Giurgola and Thorp.
Each coin comes sealed in the original bag of issues with information card.
These coins have withstood the test of time much better than their counterparts stored in the coin flips. Most likely due to the bags being airtight.
Each available coin is in a similar condition to that imaged.
Happy to add this to my collection
