1989 United Kingdom - Royal Mint - TERCENTENARY of Bill & Claim of Rights - Brilliant Uncirculated Pair of £2 Coins - ONLY 25,000 RELEASED
The 300th anniversary of one of the most significant episodes in British history was marked by the issue of the two special commemorative £2 Coins in this Royal mint Pack.
Two versions of the coin have been struck, one with a reverse design honouring the tercentenary of Bill of Rights, and the other, the tercentenary of the Claim of Right in Scotland.
Both were designed by John Lobban, and depicts the cypher of William and Mary, the House of Commons mace, and stylised representations of St Edward's Crown and the Crown of Scotland, respectively.
The obverse, common to both coins, features Raphael Maklouf's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the denominational value below.
Only 25,000 specimens were issued in these two-coin presentation folders.
The coins remain in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserved in the original Royal Mint holder, with the case like new. The adhesive that holds the coins inside the folder has given way however, but this has not effected the coins or cover.
Imaged coins are the actual coins you will receive.
