Released by the RAM to celebrate the Olympic sporting achievements of some of Australia's best athletes, The coins were released in pairs, the first two coins, Edwin Flack and Sarah Durack were released in 1994 and are the coins included in this set.

The collection was called "Olympic Heritage ".
 
The mintage in each year (1994 to 1996) was limited to a maximum of 30,000 sets. The 1994 and 1996 issues were not fully subscribed, with total of 21,484 and 15,300 pairs respectively, being sold.

Each 10 dollar coin is comprised of 20.77 grams of .999 Silver.
The set remains in excellent condition, with only minor wear to the external box.
