1999 Masterpieces in Silver - Coins of the 20th Century Memories - Multiple Sets Available
The Masterpieces in Silver series was produced from 1988 to 2011 by the Royal Australian Mint. This long running coin series is dedicated to Australian themes and events that have shaped Australia as a nation.
The 1999 Masterpieces in Silver - Proof fine silver set pays tribute to the Coins of the 20th Century Memories.
Reverse sides of the coins were designed by multiple artists, from William Henry James Blakemore to George Kruger Gray, with the Obverse of each carrying the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
Coins are struck to proof quality and are of multiple denominations (Half Penny, Penny, Threepence, Sixpence, Shilling, Sovereign).

Stored in a purple clamshell case, with certificate of authenticity. This set also has an external box to keep the case protected.
The original owner had the foresight to keep the original plastic covering on the external boxes (with the exception of the side that opens the sets), which has helped to keep the boxes in excellent condition.
Only set #11,276 has been imaged, as both sets available are in a similar condition.
