2020 Australian 1 Dollar Coin - DONATION DOLLAR - About Uncirculated - Light circulation
In the lead up to International Day of Charity (September 5th), the Royal Australian Mint (the Mint) is releasing the world’s first Donation Dollar: a one dollar coin designed to be donated.
This innovative concept comes after a tumultuous year for Australia - having faced a bushfire crisis, an ongoing global pandemic and an economic recession – leaving many Australians in need of a helping hand.
Each of these coins have been removed from circulation. Though they exhibit a high amount of mint lustre and detail, they may have fingerprints, marks dents or scratches from their brief time in circulation, but have been kept aside for the retention of detail and minimal wear.
