These facsimile re-strikes have quite an interesting history. Struck in extremely limited numbers by the Valcambi Mint, authorised by His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama, these coins were the brainchild of three South Australian Numismatists and their company Tibetan Coin Distributors.
The 1947 re-strikes were the second round of releases, and featured the 5 Sho (the first being the 10 Srang)

This coin also includes the original case with certificate of authenticity, though the coin has been removed for grading and now resides inside a slab.
