Loose Change Coins – Master Business Policy
By shopping with Loose Change Coins, you agree to the following terms and conditions. As a sole trader, I am committed to providing high-quality collectibles and transparent service in accordance with Australian law.
1. REFUND & RETURNS POLICY
I operate in strict accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Consumer Guarantees
If a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee (e.g. it is faulty, incorrectly described, or unsafe), you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
- Major Failure: For a major failure, you have the right to choose between a refund or a replacement.
- Minor Failure: For a minor failure, I may choose to repair the item or provide a replacement.
Change of Mind & Cancellations
- Change of Mind: Under the ACL, I am not required to provide a refund for "change of mind" (e.g. buyer's remorse, budgetary shifts, or accidental purchases). Such returns are granted at my sole discretion.
- 30-Day Limit: Requests for discretionary returns must be made within 30 days of delivery.
- Administration Fees: Approved "change of mind" cancellations or returns may incur an administration fee of 10% (up to 20%) to cover non-refundable merchant fees and processing time.
- Sale Items: Sale items are not eligible for "change of mind" refunds but remain covered by consumer guarantees if faulty.
Collectible Condition Requirements
The right to a refund or replacement is voided if the item is not returned in its original condition.
- Packaging is the Product: For commemorative coins, the original mint packaging, cards, and certificates are integral to the item’s value. Returns will be rejected if the item is removed from its mint-sealed capsule, bag, or card.
- Customer Damage: Refunds are not provided for items damaged by the customer, including cracked capsules, adhesive residue from tape, or discarded packaging.
- Uncirculated Standards: "Uncirculated" coins are mass-produced and may exhibit minor "bag marks" or "milk spotting" (natural oxidation). These are industry-standard characteristics and do not constitute a "Major Failure."
2. PRE-ORDER POLICY
Embargoes: I strictly adhere to manufacturer-set embargoes. Items will not be visible or available for pre-order until these are lifted.
ETAs: Arrival dates are estimates provided by the Mint and are subject to change.
Combined Shipping: Orders containing pre-order items will be held until all items are in stock. To receive in-stock items sooner, please place separate orders.
Cancellations: Pre-orders cannot be cancelled or amended within three days of the official release date.
3. SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Despatch: In-stock items are typically despatched within [Insert Number] business days.
Loss in Transit: If an item is lost by the carrier, I will provide a remedy (replacement or refund) as required by the ACL. Once an item is marked as "Delivered," the risk passes to the customer (e.g. I am not liable for parcel theft after delivery).
Return Shipping: For "change of mind" returns, the customer pays for shipping. Returns must be sent in protective padding (bubble mailers or boxes). Standard paper envelopes are not acceptable and may void your refund if the item is damaged.
Australia Post Restrictions: Per the Australian Postal Corporation Act 1989, I comply with restrictions on sending coinage. High-value items should be sent via Registered Post with Extra Cover and Signature on Delivery.
4. PRIVACY POLICY
Loose Change Coins is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.
Information Collected: When you make a purchase, I collect your name, billing/shipping address, and payment details to fulfil your order.
Data Use: I use this data to process payments, arrange shipping, and screen for potential fraud.
Third Parties: I share your information with Shopify (to power the store) and Google Analytics (to understand site traffic).
Identification Checks: For high-value silver or gold purchases, I may require additional identification (e.g. a scanned ID). Failure to comply may result in order cancellation and a refund minus an administration fee.
5. TERMS OF SERVICE
Accuracy: While I strive for accuracy, I am not liable for typographical errors or omissions regarding pricing or descriptions. I reserve the right to cancel orders resulting from such errors.
Service Refusal: I reserve the right to refuse service or limit order quantities at my discretion, particularly where I suspect dealer or reseller activity.
Governing Law: These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia.
