The Last ANZACs $1 Coin - 1999

To acknowledge the sacrifice and valour of Australian and New Zealand troops who landed at Gallipoli in 1915, the Royal Australian Mint (RAM) released the Last ANZACs $1 coin in 1999. By then, sadly, very few Gallipoli veterans remained – even a boy who had lied about his age to join the army at 15 or 16 would have been at least a hundred years old.

This coin holds historical significance as the first aluminium-bronze $1 coin to feature the Ian Rank-Broadley 4th Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse.

Coins are in mint state and supplied in original coin cards. Some cards may be folded but remain in excellent condition. Some toning may be present.
