The 1942 D Australian Sixpence was minted in Denver, USA, and comprises of 92.5% silver, 7.5% copper.

With approx. 12,000,000 minted, it is considered relatively common for period.

I would grade this example as Very Fine.

The 1942 D Australian sixpence obverse features features the bare head of King George VI facing left, with the legend: 'GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP.'.

The reverse shows the word 'SIXPENCE' and the Australian Coat of Arms. A kangaroo and an emu hold a shield, with a star above. Below is a scroll with the words 'ADVANCE AUSTRALIA', then the date underneath.

It carries a 'D' above date (Denver mint mark).

Supplied in a brand new 2x2 coin holder.

Please see images for a personal grading as this is the exact coin you will receive.
