1982 Royal Mint 7 Coin Proof Set. The Royal Mint introduced the first Twenty Pence piece in 1982. From their inception until 2008 they would feature a reverse designed by William Gardner featuring a crowned Tudor rose design, the date divided and the numeral ’20’ below the leaves of the rose.
