About this Coin Roll:

The 1984 one-dollar coin was introduced on 14 May 1984 to replace the one-dollar banknote, which had a short service life due to high usage. This "Mob of Roos" design remains the standard for the Australian $1 coin and is arguably the most recognisable piece of modern Australian currency. Original Mint-wrapped rolls from this debut year are increasingly scarce, especially in the sought-after "Heads/Heads" configuration, making them a significant centerpiece for any decimal currency collection.
