About this Coin:
The 1996 50-cent coin is a staple of the Australian decimal series. Specimens taken directly from Mint Sets are highly valued for "gap-filling" in high-grade folders. Because this coin was never subjected to the wear and tear of daily circulation, it exhibits the sharp details and original mint lustre that are often lost on coins found in pocket change.
