About this Coin

The 2001 Queensland 50c coin was released to celebrate the Sunshine State's role in the 1901 Federation of Australia. Struck by the Royal Australian Mint with a tiny mintage of only 2.32 million, it stands as one of the lower-mintage circulating 50c coins ever produced in Australia. Finding examples in strictly Uncirculated condition with pristine fields is a difficult task for decimal collectors.
