2015 Longest Reigning Monarch £5 Crown - Brilliant Uncirculated Coin In Folder
Celebrate a monumental moment in British history with this 2015 £5 Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) coin, issued to mark Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II becoming the United Kingdom's Longest Reigning Monarch, surpassing her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria.
Design and Significance
This £5 Crown is a wonderful royal tribute to Britain's longest-serving Sovereign:
- The obverse features a rare commemorative portrait of The Queen designed by acclaimed sculptor James Butler, which is unique to certain coins issued in 2015. Butler's traditional design depicts Saint Edward's Crown, flanked by the year dates '1952' (the year of her accession) and '2015' (the year she became the longest-reigning monarch).
- The reverse side shows the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Jody Clark.
Features and Presentation
The coin is a £5 Crown (UK Legal Tender) with a Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) finish, achieved by being struck twice during production, which stands apart from normal coinage. It is composed of cupro-nickel, weighs 28.28 grams, and measures 38.61 millimetres in diameter. Your coin will be encased in a protective capsule, which is attached to an attractive Royal Mint presentation folder.
Condition Note
The original display folder remains sealed in the original Mint bag. Please note that some shelf wear may be present on the outer bag.
