The first Vulcan to attend Starfleet Academy, Spock is regarded as the finest officer in the fleet.

His father is a Vulcan ambassador, his mother a schoolteacher from earth. Spock’s Vulcan nature is constantly at war with his human side. Because he was never able to fit in on either Vulcan or Earth, Spock considers Starfleet his true home. He is intensely loyal to Captain Kirk.

Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, these uncirculated aluminium bronze coins are housed in beautifully designed cards with circular windows revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.

The coin’s reverse portrays a colour image of the actor Leonard Nimoy (1931 – 2015) giving the Vulcan salute as Spock as he appeared in Star Trek, against a representation of the IDIC Vulcan symbol and the inscription SPOCK.
