2019 PNC - Holden's Motorsport Legends - Holden 1979 LX Torana A9X

In the late 1970s, Holden supercharged its LX series V8 Torana with the introduction of the A9X option. This legendary muscle car boasted a rear-facing bonnet scoop for increased airflow and power, along with rear disc brakes and heavy-duty axles.

The 1979 Holden LX Torana A9X cemented its place in Australian motorsports history by dominating the Bathurst 1000 that year. It won by a record six laps and even set the touring car lap record on the final lap!

This PNC includes:

• A commemorative $1 Australia Post stamp featuring the LX Torana A9X.
• A colour-printed 50c coin with the same design, struck by the Royal Australian Mint.
• A first day cover postmarked 15th January 2019, Bathurst NSW 2795.

This is a limited edition release of only 7,500, complete with an Australia Post seal of authenticity. It is also a genuine Holden licensed product.
