2018 Royal Wedding £5 Crown - Brilliant Uncirculated Coin In Folder
Commemorate the celebrated wedding of HRH Prince Henry (Harry) and the American actress Miss Meghan Markle, who announced their engagement on the 27th November, 2017, and married on the 19th May, 2018. The Royal Mint issued this special commemorative £5 Brilliant Uncirculated coin to mark the joyous occasion.
Design and Significance
Both sides of this UK coin were designed by Royal Mint engraver, Jody Clark, creating a unique and intimate portrait of the couple:
- The reverse design departs from tradition, showing Prince Harry and Meghan looking into each other's eyes with a warm gaze, reflecting the couple's relaxed and informal style.
- The obverse features the fifth official portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Clark and used on UK circulating coinage.
This coin is an excellent gift idea for any follower of the British royal family.
