  • Event Exclusive: Issued as the Day 2 Exclusive for the Melbourne Money Expo.
  • Extremely Limited Mintage: Strictly limited to just 240 covers worldwide.
  • Individual Numbering: This cover is individually numbered #175 of the total issue.
  • Exclusive Postmark: Features a single red foil cancellation postmarked 24 Jul 2022 | Melbourne Money Expo, Melbourne Vic.

The Coin

The PNC features an Australian legal tender coin from The Perth Mint:

  • Coin: Perth Mint $1 Uncirculated Coin (Aluminium Bronze).
  • Obverse Design: Features the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2022 year-date.
  • Reverse Design: Based on the Royal Coat of Arms. The design portrays the Shield featuring heraldic symbols of England (three lions passant), Ireland (a harp), and Scotland (a lion rampant). The design is encircled by a figurative flower stem combining the English rose, Irish shamrock, Scottish thistle, and Australian wattle. It also includes the inscription ‘H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II 1952 | 2022’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and an artistic interpretation of the mantle from the Royal Arms.

The Stamp and Historical Context

  • Official Australia Post Stamp: Affixed to the envelope is an official $1.10 stamp.

The PNC commemorates the Queen’s journey, from her accession while in Kenya on 6 February 1952, to becoming the longest-reigning British monarch in 2015, and the first to celebrate 70 years on the throne on 6 February 2022.

With its exclusive red foil postmark and extremely low production, this PNC is a unique and valuable collector's item honouring Queen Elizabeth II’s remarkable seven-decade reign.
