Honouring Australia’s long-term contribution to maintaining global peace, beginning when four Australians served in the first UN peacekeeping mission in 1947, the RAM’s 2022 $2 Peacekeeping 75th Anniversary type will be just as sought after as its predecessors in the colour $2 series. This series is undeniably the hottest in Australian numismatics, with every colour $2 type hoarded out of circulation. These coins are notoriously difficult to find in change, and, even if you’re lucky and find an example of this new $2 type, it won’t be in Uncirculated condition.

Unfortunately, due to an issue with the colour print on these coins, many of them are already demonstrating moderate to major flaking of the coloured ring on the reverse of the coin. This issue is consistent across the entire release.
