A bi-yearly event, the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) discusses global and Commonwealth issues in order to agree on collective policies and initiatives.

In 2011, the event was held in Australia - and in celebration, the Royal Australian Mint released the utterly magnificent CHOGM $1 coin. The coin's design features the official logo for CHOGM 2011, symbolizing all the different countries that were to gather at the 2011 meeting.
