2017 $1 "Happy Diwali" Coloured Uncirculated Coin
Ex-PNC Single coloured uncirculated coin, recently removed from an official 2017 Australia Post / Perth Mint "Festival of Lights" Postal Numismatic Cover (PNC). Supplied in a brand-new 2x2 Mylar coin flip for protection.
Coin Specifications
- 2017 $1 Commemorative Coin celebrating Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights.
- Historical Significance: This cultural tribute celebrates the spiritual victory of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. It was a landmark joint release between Australia Post and the Perth Mint.
- Condition Standard: Struck to Uncirculated standard by the Perth Mint.
- Reverse Design: Features a vivid, multi-coloured representation of Lakshmi, the Hindu Goddess of wealth and prosperity, seated on a lotus flower with gold coins pouring from her hands.
- Mintmark: Includes the Perth Mint’s traditional "P" mintmark.
- Obverse Design: Features the 4th portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
- Issuing Authority: Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.
