About this Coin

The 1984 1c coin marks the final year that Arnold Machin's iconic 2nd portrait of Queen Elizabeth II was struck onto Australian 1c bronze coins for circulation. With a lower mintage compared to the high-volume years of the late 1970s and early 1980s, and with 1c pieces having been officially withdrawn and melted in 1992, finding uncirculated examples today is getting tougher. Preserved in Uncirculated condition with full original mint lustre, this single specimen offers an ideal upgrade for any Australian decimal collection.
