These "Expo Dollars" were issued to celebrate the Bicentenary World Expo held in Brisbane from April 30th to October 30th, 1988.  The obverse of each note features the iconic Expo sun sails logo, symbolizing the event's entertainment offerings, while the reverse displays a globe grid logo.

These banknotes were legal tender only within the Expo grounds and during its duration. Printed by the prestigious American Bank Note Company, these notes are a fascinating piece of Australian history.
