About this Coin

This 20 Cent coin remembers the attack on Darwin on 19th of February 1942 by 242 Japanese bombers, dive bombers and fighter planes. The attack caused widespread destruction and the deaths of 243 people and wounded more than 300 others. This coin is a powerful tribute to those who were affected by these events and a significant addition to any collection honouring Australia's military history.
